(Webmaster's warning: I usually don't like to trust Snopes for information after the Web site's administrator gave the reason for Obama's 57 states statement in his 2008 campaign as Obama was just tired, saying the same later when Obama confused his grandfather's military service with his father.
Then there was Snopes who named a father's claim as"FALSE" over a fire the father said was caused by a CFL bulb in his daughter's bedroom. Then a photographer of the Hand of Hope photograph reported Snopes refused to list the reason for his side of the story, which Truth or Fiction had done. In other words, Snopes seems to bend the truth for progressives, protecting agenda.
So what else is new? For instance, I had passed the above information onto the editor of Popular Electronics, whose subject editor had listed Snopes as the sole source for vetting information. I suggested adding Truth or Fiction as another source for balance for his readers, the editor only returning a terse e-mail. To this end, we should never forget how elites of the progressive world couldn't wait to jumped on the train of the false claims on fracking from the producer of GasLand, Josh Fox, which included the big guns of the New York Times and the Sundance Channel and others throwing awards, HOPING the content was not faked. But what would it matter to them. They already know too many will want to remember the lies and not search for the truth.) |
