ICE Union Head On Deporting Welfare-Dependents:

‘We are not permitted to enforce that statute. Period’ - DailyCaller

"The legal prohibition on new immigrants becoming primarily reliant on government assistance for subsistence — or public charges — is never enforced, Chris Crane, an ICE agent and president of the ICE agent’s union told reporters on a conference call Thursday afternoon.

'It is certainly part of what we are supposed to be doing, it is definitely a federal statute within the [Immigration and Nationality Act],' he said when asked about the enforcement of the century-old public charge restriction. 'However I will say this: that in my career, I have never seen or heard of the charge being applied in any case to anyone.'" . . . Read More

DHS Admits It Does Not Track Immigrants Who Become Welfare Dependent

DHS pursued zero cases last year.

"In a response letter to four top Republican lawmakers, the Department of Homeland Security revealed it initiated only one case against an immigrant for becoming a 'public charge,' or being primarily dependent upon the government, in fiscal year 2012. The case was later withdrawn.

"While the department’s response to Republican Sens. Jeff Sessions, Chuck Grassley, Orrin Hatch and Pat Roberts’ August oversight request offered an overview of the centuries-old federal public-charge restrictions, it noticeably avoided several of the senators’ direct questions and demonstrated potentially significant inadequacies in record-keeping by immigration officials, who legally should be enforcing public-charge rules for immigrants both inside and outside of the country." . . . Hopeless!

Job Corps slams door on 30,000 young adults

"President Barack Obama campaigned last week to promote his plans for job training and job creation that he claimed would expand the country's middle class, fully aware that the Job Corps program had suspended enrollment in January due to gross bureaucratic mismanagement of the country's largest job-training program for low-income youths, particularly African Americans. The freeze started in January and is expected to last until June 30. That did not stop Obama from making lofty promises in his State of the Union address last week about job creation.

The enrollment freeze could prevent as many as '30,000 young adults struggling in a troubled economy' from getting jobs and cost another 10,000 staff jobs." . . . Read More

N.C. High School Wrestler Penalized For Silent Prayer Before Match

"There appears to be a new rule in North Carolina's high school wrestling rule book: Prayer is prohibited." - New American

"Nicholas Fant, a junior at North Carolina's Wake Forest-Rolesville High School and a 220-pound competitor in the February 12 state wrestling tournament, found that out the hard way. After dropping to a knee for a customary two-second prayer prior to his first round match, Fant was given a warning for stalling, which cost him a point in the contest. The varsity wrestler, who had not been penalized in the past for such prayers, ultimately lost to his opponent by a score of 3-0.

The penalty angered Fant's coach, Sam Hershey, who said that the one-point deficit starting out forced Fant to change his strategy for the match. Hershey said that while he would not comment on the referee's decision, he would seek a clarification to determine if penalizing a wrestler for a two-second silent prayer comported with the spirit of the rule against stalling.". . . Thomas More Law Center Challenges National Defense University’s Accreditation

"Defense Department’s Actions Against LTC Matthew Dooley Violate National Interests." - TMLC

"TMLC’s complaint provides overwhelming evidence that several NDU and Department of Defense (DoD) policies relating to academic freedom were violated when Lieutenant Colonel (LTC) Matthew Dooley was removed from his teaching post as a result of demands by Muslim organizations that all training materials offensive to Islam be purged and instructors using the materials disciplined.

TMLC also asked the Commission to conduct its own confidential on-site interviews of NDU faculty members to determine the extent to which academic freedom has been diminished and what measures should be taken to insure the future integrity of NDU as a university.

LTC Dooley was an instructor at the NDU, and one of the faculty members assigned to run the elective course entitled, Perspectives on Islam and Islamic Radicalism. Click here to read TMLC’s 7-page complaint." . . . Read More

Egyptian Human Rights Council:

"Women cause rape upon themselves." - New Media Journal

"Egypt's 'Shura Council Human Rights Committee' today addressed the recent wave of sexual harassment proliferating during mass protests, calling for specific places of protest for females in a move that is being interpreted as gender segregation. Daily News Egypt reports that Reda Al-Hefnawy, Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) member said, 'Women should not mingle with men during protests. How can the Ministry of Interior be tasked with protecting a lady who stands among a group of men?' Adel Afifi, a prominent board member of the Salafi Party Al-Asala, apparently blamed women for the sexual harassment phenomenon." . . . Read More

An Inconvenient Polar Bear

How does the progressive media handle a story disproving activist's concerns about the polar bears? They ignore it, of course, as if it never was written.

"The story this week that hasn’t received much play in the mainstream media is about a new book by environmentalist Zac Unger titled “Never Look a Polar Bear in the Eye”. His goal was to document the decline of the Polar Bear population. He undertook this task by moving his wife and 3 children to remote northern Manitoba, Canada. Normally, books from these types of authors get tremendous coverage since they are usually peddling the latest hysterical fear of what humans are doing to destroy the planet. The problem in this case is that he found the exact opposite of what he expected.

The problem this presents is that it counters an assumed domino effect in the theory of Climate Change: Global Warming causes the polar ice caps to melt, the lack of ice decimates the Polar Bear habitat, their population goes toward extinction, oceans rise, all humans die. This book challenges an almost religious orthodoxy on the liberal left. It does not fit the media template and has been almost ignored. If this story got the attention that it deserved, there would be the natural question…What else is not true about Climate Change?" . . . Read More

What will America look like under a second Obama presidency? If you don't have a clue, you better find one! Check alpha by state/city where this film is playing before November 6, 2012. Unofficial bio of Gerald R. Molen. A picture is worth a thousand words! This photo was not actually aT the White House, but, regardless of WHERE it was taken, the fact is that he cancelled the National Day of Prayer, said that we are no longer a Christian nation, and has no problem taking part in Muslim prayer. U.S. President Barack Obama bows to Tampa Mayor Pam Iorio at MacDill Air Force Base on January 28, 2010, in Tampa, Florida. Iorio had honored CAIR annually in Tampa with its own day in November 2008, acknowledging the large amout of Muslims living in the area. "Ayers, now a professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago, claims to abhor nostalgia ("Nothing is more boring than some old person going on and on about the way things used to be"). But he has been thinking lately about the past—both his and the country's—and soon he will likely be engaged in what he calls "a dialogue" about the sixties, the antiwar movement, and the radical life he led. The spur for this dialogue will be the publication of Fugitive Days (Beacon Press, $24), a memoir Ayers has written about the trajectory of his life, from a pampered son of the Chicago suburbs to a young pacifist to a founder of one of the most radical political organizations in U.S. history." Allow video to download and start in Window's Media player. “The North American jet that flew Obama and his traveling crew around for much of the primary season was refurbished with new seats and power for each passenger a must on the campaign trail. And the plane that once had an American flag on its tail now sports the Obama ‘O.’”
