Much of the opposition to Obama has come from military members who believe he has been an inconsistent and flawed leader in foreign policy — for example, his 2011 removal of all troops in Iraq helped lead to the rise of the Islamic State, which then required a new U.S. intervention in the region. The commanders say their goals now in Fallujah are to install a viable Iraqi government and security force, rebuild the city to win back the confidence of the residents and persuade the Sunni Arabs, who were Saddam Hussein's base of support and were ousted from power with him, to lay down their arms and take part in a legitimate political process.
Difficult as all of that seems, it is the last aim - persuading the Sunnis to act as a loyal minority in a democracy - that may be the most improbable goal of the retaking of Fallujah by storm.

It would be the Koran-trained Obama who would allow ISIS in 2014 to cross the desert from Syria and attack the Iraq people under a rabid form of Sharia Law, beheading anyone that had supported the Americans. They even murdered the judge that sentenced Saddam Hussein to death.
Great job, New York Times, along with your crotch-salute president, a sewer for America's progressive movement. It proves again when you've got no skin in the game, you don't give a damn what happens to other.
