In 1898, Democrats Proudly Stood Around Their Trophy, A Minority-Owned Newspaper They Burned Down in The Wilmington Massacre Against Successful Blacks.
The North Carolina Democrat Party was furious over the success of blacks in Wilmington, NC, including a black-owned newspaper, the Democrats seeming to think those uppity Negroes needed a lesson to their place in American society.
In the attack, they chased Republican black-owned business leaders into the countryside, reported to have murdered over a dozen. In addition, over 2,000 blacks fled from their jobs and homes in fear of being slaughter, too. It was called the Wilmington Massacre of 1898.
And who went to jail for this? Of course, no one.

"CNN’s Don Lemon moderated a panel Tuesday evening in which two of the panelists referred to Kanye West using an offensive racial term. Lemon cracked up at the first use of the term which was apparently a reference to a Chris Rock joke and did not comment on or criticize another panelist calling Kanye a 'token Negro.'
