What is your object? 78 Promo Record

What is the name of the Manufacturing Company? Columbia

What are the dimensions? 10"

What is the medium? 78 record

Describe any markings or signatures.

Common marking to both sides is the Columbia Record name, but also with an unexpected graphic with the number 1 over layed on a drawing of North Carolina in red (see photo detail.)

Side one: Columbia (NC graphic with #1), ID# HC0-2136, (Title) "It's All Up To You," Expecially written for the Good Health Association by Sammy Cahn and Jule Styne. Vocals by Dinah Shore and Frank Sinatra (in that order) with Kay Kyser and his Orch.

Side two: Same logos, ID# HC0-2154, (Title) "Carolina in the Morning," Fox Trot, Vocal Chorus by the Campus Kids with Gloria Wood. Kahn-Donaldson-arr., Feldman-Conlon, Kay Kyser and his Orchestra.

Describe the object's condition. Record is not chipped, and label is in excellent condition. Record looks like it has been played a lot, and would probably need special handling to record a semi-clean audio track (like a component using a butterfly filter, such as available with older Crown Amps.)

What is the provenance? It was given to me by my mother and father along with many other records including popular 78 recordings from dance band songs from WWII era.

Has the subject of your inquiry ever been exhibited or appeared in any publication? No.
